People saw that it resonated with the coming of age aspect. Isaiah Mustafa: I think the coming of age aspect of the first film and the performances by the young actors and Bill Skarsgård is what set that film apart and made it the highest grossing R-rated horror film of all-time. Why do you think the first film did so well that’s it’s caused a heavy anticipation for the second film?

With IT, people remembered the TV series. To be part of a cast with James, Jessica, Phil, Jay, TJ, and Andy, everyone is so talented, it was a great opportunity to get to play alongside of them. Isaiah Mustafa: Most definitely, I think this is probably a really fun opportunity. I’ve been saving that first viewing for the premiere but what I’ve heard, there’s just as many scares, if not more, and just as much blood if not more in this film.įor you as an actor, is this the biggest exposure you’ve had to date? Isaiah Mustafa: I think so I haven’t seen the film yet. Are we’re going to get the same thing in terms of holding onto our seats? We all really got along and it made being friends on screen a lot easier because we became friends in real life. There were 16 hour days, and for the month of August, we had six days a week. We all went out to dinner a bunch of times, and we hung out.

I had a good seven times that I’ve gone through the book, either through audio book or reading it that that was just it was ingrained in my head. I also listened to the audio book a bunch.
